Sewing 101

Pre-requisite:  Sewing Basics

This is a beginner class.  You must have sewing experience or have taken Sewing Basics class.

Enrollment is limited to 4 students to ensure that each student gets personal attention.

4 classes 1 ½ hours each

Ages 10 and over (Students under 14 must have a Parent or Adult Guardian in attendance)

Fee:  $150

Materials (fabric, pattern, elastic) can be purchased at Fabrics N Things at a 10% discount!

Bring your machine and notions or use ours.

Project: elastic waist lounge/PJ pants

You will learn:

Sewing terminology

Using sewing tools

Reading a pattern envelope/pattern markings

Pinning and cutting

Working with elastic

The importance of pressing

Class 1 :

Learn to read pattern envelope and pattern markings

Cut and iron pattern

Choose fabric

Class 2:

Layout fabric, pin pattern, mark and cut fabric

Class 3:

Begin sewing your project

Class 4:

Complete your project!
