Intro to Tunisian Crochet Technique Class 1

Materials: 5.5 mm Tunisian crochet hook will be provided for in class use only.

Prerequisite:  Must be able to keep tension and make all basic stitches (sc, hdc, dc) in rows.

Description:  Taught by Harry Reardon-Daley, Certified through The Craft Yarn Council.  In this class series learn 1 – 4 introductory stitches to Tunisian crochet.  In each session you will learn how to hold a Tunisian crochet hook,  keep tension, measure gauge ( size of stitches), and how to close off stitches.  Each class will start with an example of how to do the stitch, Attendees will work on a gauge swatch to measure their own gauge with the yarn they chose.  Use techniques taught in this course to make 7” by 9” afghan blocks.

Class 1:  Tunisian Simple Stitch (TSS)

Class 2: Tunisian Reverse Stitch (TRS)

Class 3: Tunisian Knit Stitch (TKS)

Class 4: Tunisian Purl Stitch TPS)
