Materials:
Main fabric (heart) = ¼ yd or 1 fat quarter
*if making scrappy heart we will need enough scraps to crumb piece approximately a 12 x 15 rectangle
Background fabric = ¼ yd or 1 fat quarter
Border fabric = ¼ yd or 1 fat quarter
Backing, Binding, and Casing fabric = 2 fat quarters or ½ yd
Batting = 18 x 22
Wood dowel = ¼ diameter x 17 length
String to hang
Coordinating thread
pins/basting spray
***I recommend NOT using any directional prints for this project***

Estimated Class Time: (4) 1 hr classes
Class 1:
• crumb piece scraps to make 12 x 15 rectangle
Class 2:
• cut heart and background pieces
• assemble block
• cut and sew border
Class 3:
• make quilt sandwich using pins or basting spray
• machine quilt layers together
• prepare casing piece
Class 4:
• cut, sew and press binding
• sew binding and casing strip to block
• hand sew casing to back
• hand sew binding to back (this step can be finished at home)
